Education Requirements:

Graduates of foreign trained schools are required to complete either a two year dental program in an ADA-accredited school that leads to the awarding of a DDS or DMD degree, or successfully complete a minimum two year master's degree or certificate program in an ADA approved dental specialty program. Upon successful completion of the two year program, you should arrange for official transcripts to be sent directly to the Michigan Board of Dentistry from both the foreign dental school and the ADA accredited program. If the transcripts are not in English, a translated copy must also be provided.

Clinical Examination Requirement:

Michigan board of dentistry requires passing scores on the North Eastern Regional Board NERB, once you submit the school transcripts and NBDE scores, you will be made eligible for the NERB exam, unless you have passed the exam already.

Written Exam Requirements:

Passing scores on parts I & II of NBDE.

Other Requirements:

Submitted a completed application and proper fee.
Submit fingerprints and undergo a criminal background check
